Embodied Mindfulness Practices to Support Cancer Recovery and Survivorship

member workshops May 21, 2025

This on-demand workshop with Dr. Linda Carlson, clinical psychologist, researcher, and co-developer of the Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery (MBCR) program, offers mindfulness-based tools to support individuals navigating cancer recovery and survivorship. Explore how mindful movement and embodied awareness can foster connection, compassion, and acceptance in the face of illness, grief, and change.

Drawing on decades of clinical and research expertise in oncology, Dr. Carlson introduces practices designed to gently support individuals experiencing pain, fatigue, anxiety, or disconnection from the body. Learn how to adapt mindfulness approaches for therapeutic and supportive care settings with sensitivity to embodiment, trauma-informed facilitation, and the lived experience of cancer. This workshop offers a compassionate and practical framework for integrating mindfulness into care for those facing cancer and its aftermath.
