Beginning work with clients—especially those experiencing anxiety or depression—can be complex. It’s easy to miss important details that later interfere with progress: underlying risk factors, functional issues, or even a client’s level of readiness. This learning event offers practical ways to avoid these pitfalls.

In this free live event with Dr. Patricia Rockman, you’ll explore a structured framework to help you truly understand the person in front of you and set up your work effectively from the very start. You’ll learn how to assess risk factors and functional concerns, ask the right questions so critical factors aren’t overlooked, and develop a clear client contract with concrete, achievable goals.

During this 45-minute session, you’ll learn how to establish a solid foundation for therapy, coaching, or counselling that you can return to whenever work gets pulled off track. Gain actionable tools you can use immediately to optimize your clients’ ability to benefit from your support and to create conditions for meaningful, sustainable progress.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Explore a clear, structured framework for starting client work effectively – including how to assess risks and functioning, understand the full client context, and avoid common early-stage pitfalls.
  • Gain practical tools to co-create clear goals and agreements with clients – building an ethical, effective foundation that maximizes their ability to benefit while keeping your work focused.
  • Take away a practical checklist aligned with the framework – to help you systematically ask the right questions, assess key areas, and stay on track.

Join us live, get inspired, and walk away with practices you can apply to optimize client success.
